If anyone is interested the camera can be bought at Dixons airport store for £280 icluding kit lens and all the extras you do need to show a boarding pass however. Luckly my nephew is going abroad on Sat and I managed to pre order a copy.

How do you know that if you bought a K20D now you wouldn't be amazed by the difference to your K10D and never look back....?

Because the K20D was not different enough for me in the ways that I wanted. Yes, the better ISO, limited liveview and focus option for lenses may well be enough for a lot of users but as I see it the AF speed and fps should have been done at the same time.
I have seen enough output from the K20D to know that while it is better than the K10D it is not enough for me to move up.

You only have to look at the Flickr stats on Pentax bodies to see that most seem to agree .. there are more than twice the amount of K10D users than K20D and thats 18 months after they released the K20D.

As you said, a very personal thing.
I was thinking of going for the k20 at one point but read one report which said the guy did not think the upgrade from the k10 was enough to warrant the extra cash. I went for the k10 at £300 the k20 I think was more than twice the price at that point in time. Im tempted by the k7 but Im waiting to see what feed back there is both good and bad and see which way the prices go. Im still getting to grips with the k10 so feel I need to master that before moving on any way which could be some time at the rate I pick up and learn new skills LOL.

I also like to see the dog keen and alert using his ears with the head held in the same plane as his top line or back not looking down or up but straight forward if you can make sence of that.
