This image is far too dark you would also find that the composition would be better if (in the next shot you try) there was more room in front o the bird to fly into.. Or to clarify this bird would need to be nearer the left hand side of the picture and perhaps higher .. Thank you for sharing Pete

Lovely shot and I tend to agree right hand corner is a little distracting and does not really add anything to the picture so it wouldn't be missed.

Was just browsing through the gallery and came across this? Do you have tree frogs in germany? I think you might but not sure .. I would say they were frogs eggs of some description.

The subject was an ideal chance for a good shot.. You appear to have been a bit careless with the masking around the tops of the rocks on the LHS.. For some reason I keep being led of of the RHS wondering what is there.. But then I am nosey by nature :)

Looks like an adult carpet beetle to me. The adults themselves dont do any damage but the larvae do. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varied_carpet_beetle I bet you have really made his day lol .. A little tip if you need to know anything about British Wildlife join this site.. It is a mine of knowledge and the folk there are friendly and helpful .. I hope this helps with your bug Pete

I like the Idea. I agree with Steve's comments. I'm not sure what "look" you tried to achieve trixie, as mentioned the focus could be better also on this screen there appears to be a huge amount of "noise". I am not sure how much control you have on the optio, if any at all. Just as a thought try setting the shot up under different lighting types perhaps a little brighter. This would make t ...

Lovely shot John,I haven't managed to get a shot of one yet each time I see them I am with the missus and she just won't give me any time to take a photo. As for the food it's actually a cockle viewed from the side. Regards Pete:D
