I agree with you Naim, the night version is so much more atmospheric Yes, quite agree.
And a cafe menu is MUCH more interesting than a pigeon !

An interesting and well balanced shot, David. Almost looks like a film set ?
Nice one

I used the da 55-300 lens, this lens does hunt a lot but for the money I think it's a cracking lens I use it all the time. Thanks Paul.
I haven't used mine for some time so perhaps I'd better 'dust it down' and give it another go.
The main drawback, as you say, is the hunting - especially with long distance shots.

It's a wonderful view of the castle, but I feel that the 10mm focal length was just too wide for the foreground tree. Perhaps cropping a section of the tree out ? Lovely view though. +1
I agree that cropping the right to remove the sky at top right would, IMHO, make a good shot better.

Certainly old gear, Peter. But I can't tell the difference. That's just what I thought, Andrew.
There must be a tale there somewhere !
However, as has been said many a time 'it's the photographer that MAKES the photo, not the equipment', so it shows that you are a master of the craft.
Keep 'em coming
