Hi Carl. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
So I'm truly flattered since this is what I did with my 'Swan Upping' image posted last month !
Whatever - it DOES work and creates an Artwork (as opposed to a simple photographic record).
Although I do prefer your previous posting (right way up )!
Meanwhile it is a great take and full marks for the experiment. :D

Lovely capture, Stephen.
The effect is just like a painting.
As someone who grew up next to the tracks in North London the Gresley A4 has ALWAYS been THE loco for me !
It is the epitome of the engineering design saying "If it looks right, it IS right !"
Bittern seems to be a bit of a Chameleon ?

One of those "I must open this image!" shots.
Stunning effect - where DO those sand patterns come from ?
Plus great compo with the angles of the cloud line and the pier.
Great shot.

All the above :D
The evening light and the stillness of the water add that extra poignancy to memories of times gone by !

A nice macro giving a new look to this common flower.
Looking at it in this detail it looks much like an Allium ?

I recognised that view even before opening up the image ! (The side view of 'The House on Trumpington Street' )
But in my days there were no yellow lines and my bike was strictly black with 26x11/4" wheels !
I don't think the pavement was so neat either ?

Wonderful sand patterns leading into the seascape, topped of with that lovely dollop of cloud. The reflections in the west sand are a huge bonus.

Great shot.
Certainly quite a surreal image with those weird sand patterns in the foreground.
