Messing with your mind

I was looking at this image and thinking - that reflection is pretty good - wonder what the image would look like upside down... and the answer was - this is what it looks like upside down
I wasn't sure whether to show you the original or this version - perhaps I will follow with the original

Hi Carl. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
So I'm truly flattered since this is what I did with my 'Swan Upping' image posted last month !
Whatever - it DOES work and creates an Artwork (as opposed to a simple photographic record).
Although I do prefer your previous posting (right way up )!
Meanwhile it is a great take and full marks for the experiment.
Best regards
Peter
It's also what I did last year with a shot I posted of Fountains Abbey - so perhaps it is I who should be flattered by your swan image? In truth I have seen many many images over the years that have been flipped - I make no claims on originality of the 'technique' but it is certainly the first time I have flipped a pier.Hi Carl. Mine was the first time I'd turned a swan upside down and I certainly wouldn't attempt that in real life
As you say, whenever there is water that is mirror calm it just begs for a shot and why not flip it to see the effect.
Meanwhile as I said originally it is a great shot and well worth the try.
Best regards
Peter

wil, post it just for you Paul - when back in the UK. Currently sitting by a pool outside my hotel in Versailles. Sometimes working for a French company is not all bad
