The iPad doesn't have to be that expensive. I got mine from the Apple refurbished/clearance store at about 60% of the retail price. Absolutely right. Trying them out is important. It's a personal choice and whatever you feel comfortable with. Apple products seem to be a very contentious issue to some, and I don't want to get into any extended discussions with anyone on the subject - it's just a matter of personal choice - but I have had an iPad for a few years now and it just works fine. I've never had any problems with it. On the other hand, our IT manager at work has got through 3 android based tablets in the same time and has always seemed to have had some issues with them.
There's no need for any special cleaning solutions.
A soft, clean cloth dampened with a mild detergent solution, followed by a gentle wipe dry with another soft and clean cloth.

Maybe you should consider the DA15 as well. I had a Sigma 10-20, and while it was fun to use and not a bad lens, it was rather soft. I traded it in for a DA15, which is so much smaller, lighter and sharper. I don't miss the extra range of the 10-20 at all.

Here is the reply I had from Sigma when I queried this with them:
"We are hoping that our parent company reconsiders this decision, but as of now, there are no plans to create them in Sony or Pentax mount. We understand the importance of this product and have received several requests. I have forwarded every one of them to our parent company so hopefully they will reconsider.

Good morning,
If you are receiving this, it is because you had expressed interest in the past regarding a USB Dock for Pentax or Sony. Please know that we have received word from our parent company that we will indeed be making a Dock for both Pentax and Sony in the future. The bad news is that it probably will not be released until March of next year. But I did want to let you know that they have decided to go through with production and that it will be available next year.
