Thanks for asking .It's a star burst crack at the bottom right corner on closer the inspection the cracks look fairly deep. So it looks like I've got to bite the bullet and get it replaced.

Yep they all said it use DNG industry standard don't waste your time with PEF

Just passed my local Oxfam and in the window was this little pentax lens the only details were 50mm,A,SMC 1:1.7.Has both caps and the previous owner had a Hoya skylight filter on it.Just gave it a quick glance and couldn't see any scratches just finger prints!!

Now will this work with my K10D ? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I've been looking at other pentax forums and noticed alot of activity on downloading the latest software updates for the K10D. I'm running version 1.0 and the camera works just fine.I doubt I'll ever use a wireless remote as the self timer is fine for me!!.Its just the "perhaps I should update as the camera will be better" thought is bouncing around in my head!!.Do I really need to update any advice fellow Pentaxians
