Hi All, I'm interested in getting a AF360 for my K-m. Have you seen the prices! £319.99 in some places. I have seen the identical SAMSUNG SEF-36PZ which is about £170 at Park Cameras. I missed an AF360 in the LCE in THe Strand London for £149.00 secondhand.
Has anyone seen any good offers for these? Also on a budget note,what is the Metz 36 like although there is no wireless....

Hi All,
Has anyone any experience with the Metz 48 dedicated for the Pentax Digi range? They have a very good reputation and I spotted it for £149.00 from Bristol Cameras, which looks like a very good deal.

Blimy! I bought a K-m recently and I havn't really got to grips with it yet! It's a lovely little camera though and the results are superb even with the kit lenses.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all your help.I was recommended the Jessops 2700mah Ni-Mh batteries. They are much better. I can burst on hi setting many times before they are showing reduced voltage. I also got myself a PK-A 50mm f1.7 for £40 with lens hood and filter. It's a great little lens, I'm loving it!

Hi All,
I was at a birds of prey flying exhibition yesterday and encountered some problems with the K-m in high speed setting. I took five pictures in the burst with almost new lithium energizer AA's and the camera processed them and then said 'battery depleted' and shut down. As the batteries almost new I was very disappointed. I then started it up again and the battery meter showed full charge. Has anyone else come across this problem? I do lots of fast moving sport and maybe I need to upgrade already! I'm not sure these lithium AA's are up to the job.

Hi Guys,
Thanks Hefty for your wisdom again. The latest iPhoto does open .PEFs but maybe it displays them as jpegs, which may account for them looking editied. I am going to look into the free bundled software. Is it Mac and PC or just PC?

Thanks for all the help! I'm very happy to be here and I think the K-m is a smashing little camera btw.
I will need some editing software then, which raises quite a few issues. Firstly am I best shooting in PEF or DNG format and also sRGB or Adobe RGB? I will probably buy Photoshop Elements which is Adobe of course, so maybe that answers my question! I did hear good reports on Apple Aperture but am not entirely convinced.
A friend of mine has iPhoto and his pictures from the K-m look very good in it unedited. I do have iPhoto but it won't open .DNG or the Pentax PEF files. It is an older version, so these file extensions must be fairly recent.
What is the free Pentax software like I got with the camera? I have only been veiwing pictures in it so far.
Can I use a 50mm f1.7 from an MX with the K-m. Will it meter or is manual all the way?

I'm new here! My sister has an MX with a 50mm f1.7, manual focus of course. Can I use this lens on a K-m digital? Will I be able to meter through the lens?

I have just purchased a K-m and the two lens kit. I have taken a variety of photos over the weekend. The K-m is a replacement for my trusty Lumix DMC-FZ7 a 6 megapixel bridge camera.
With the 18-55mm lens at 55mm the RAW images are noticably noisier than the Lumix taking an identical picture. Is the Leica lens on the Lumix so good and the kit lens so poor? My wife's Lumix TZ3 is 7 mps and the pictures taken of Ham House yesterday again in the same place are just about the same for sharpness. Colour is more red with the Pentax. Surely the RAW files at 10 mp should see both these cameras away easily. Am I doing something wrong?
I am quite an experienced photographer although this is my first DSLR.

I've just purchased one of these from Jacobs in New Oxford Street in London. I wanted to try beforeI committed to buy and they were the only West End dealer with stock. It was very close to closing time but the staff were very helpful. I did try the RZ10 which is also excellent and has a 10x zoom, but my Son loves the 'mini-SLR' styling of the I-10 and the camera is for him. I will report back once he has used it.
