Nice photos, the St John's-wort seems to attract a lot of bees and hover-flies.
I didn't know that was what the plant was called.

Have a look at this site http://www.photographersonsafari.com/pages/farne.htm
Its a photograhic safari company that does workshops to the Farne Islands to see the birds and the seals. It will give you a idea of the dates they use. I am not advertising on their behalf

The second for me as well. When photographing these guys I like to get down to their level.
I m my local park, they are very tame and I like to get as close as possible, although sometimes they get too close...
(Just in case ur wondering this was taken with my Panasonic fz7 on wide angle, not my 150-500mm! And yes the nose is touching the lens!)
Scott,
Sorry its late. Bad day yesterday. I prefer no2 also. Its a much more interesting photo and I think the grass background in No1 makes the image harse and detracts from the picture.

Is the only difference between this and the K100D Super the dust removal? Which lens does it have?
The lens is a Pentax18-55 II. It came with the K200D I bought late last year.
Thanks

What is it? looks painted!and no I dont mind.
I think it is a Blue Capped Cordon Blue. I took it in Tanzania this year. Yes it does look like it has been dipped in paint!

The background is bright, however, I think it enhances the water giving it almost a 3d effect with depth. I really like it
