Pentax 55-300mm DA. Comes boxed with all accessories. Condition is as new, Shortly after I purchased it I bought a 50-135 which covered most of my telephoto needs so it's been hardly used. Looking for £210 including Delivery.

Samsung 100mm Macro. Boxed with all caps, hood and soft case. Great condition. I've used this lens a lot until recently. I'm only selling it as I have a new macro lens for another system that I use much more. Looking for £240 including delivery.

Thanks for that information. I'd assumed that this was a K5 trait too and just used to half press the shutter button to get rid of the enlarge function.

I agree with the other responses here.

I've not owned the K7 (K5 was my first Pentax) but have the 55-300 and the Sigma 150-500.

On my last camera system i used I found that cropping never gave as good results as having the extra lens length, if the extra lens length is good quality, and the sigma 150-500 is very good.

In some tests it's reported as being soft over 400mm but I've found it really sharp and you can find loads of excellent pictures taken with it at 500mm on the flickr etc.

I'm not sure that cropping the 55-300 will give you the same results. Certainly I have not found it sharp enough at 300mm when taking pictures of distant animals, birds etc to be able to crop much.
The sigma optical stabilisation is very good too.

I would go for buying the sigma. There is a really good deal at SRS and if you don't get on with it you could always sell it and not lose too much. And then maybe when the K5 replacement comes out you can pick a cheap k5

Another vote for the DA* 50-135mm. Such a nice lens to use.

If i could pick a prime too it would be the 21mm Limited

Looks like it's a very good lens to own then I did have a quick go of a demo one and was very impressed with the quality and images.

Mat, thanks for the link to SRS used one. I had a look and their new ones are 'only' £939 now so I'd probably go new for the extra £40.

Hi all

I am thinking about buying a 60-250 lens but am not really seeing any secondhand.
Are they that good that people don't let go of them?

Just wondering if anyone has a clean one (preferably boxed) and how much they go for.

And this is a real long shot but I have an Olympus E3, Oly 35mm macro & Oly 25mm that I am willing to trade as they are just getting no use

I agree with the flat light comments but I actually prefer the B&W version above the waterline.

The reflection is so perfect that it kind of merges into one (like those ink blot tests)

I like the texture of the B&W shot running up the waterfall to the peak.
