WTB or trade 60-250

Hi all

I am thinking about buying a 60-250 lens but am not really seeing any secondhand.
Are they that good that people don't let go of them?

Just wondering if anyone has a clean one (preferably boxed) and how much they go for.

And this is a real long shot but I have an Olympus E3, Oly 35mm macro & Oly 25mm that I am willing to trade as they are just getting no use

The only time people seem to sell them is when they change systems. I would only get rid of mine if I were to go over to Canon completely. (and I doubt that would happen because Canon don't have a 60-250mm f4 )

I get the impression that they hold their value pretty well - the lens does have an excellent reputation (I am very tempted to get one myself at some point (when I have more cash)).

SRS currently have one in their used equipment list at £899 ( link), and from a pretty cursory search this is a pretty competitive price I think. You may get lucky on ebay but with SRS you can certainly buy with confidence. They will probably give you a trade in price on your Oly gear but it may not be as much as you would get if you sold privately...

Looks like it's a very good lens to own then I did have a quick go of a demo one and was very impressed with the quality and images.

Mat, thanks for the link to SRS used one. I had a look and their new ones are 'only' £939 now so I'd probably go new for the extra £40.
