Thank you for the greets everyone! I hope to become an active member in this community.

Had a bad experience with ParcelForce sometime early last year (same thing, package being dropped at waist level), although they have since then managed to win me back. I think it depends on the delivery guy. They may have hired better drivers in my area since then.

LoL @ smeggypants pic.

I think that financially it's in Pentax(/Hoya)'s best interest for them to build on the success of the K5 sensor onto a mirrorless system like Sony's NEX series. What I am eager to find out though is how they are going to play this out.

Thanks for sharing the link to that thread. It sure puts things in perspective to me. To be honest, I've slightly been enticed by the latest Canon offering back in December.

All it took for me to realize how wrong I was, was for me to actually hold a Canon camera (550D, then the 7D). Pentax sure do know how to make well-built cameras.

Hello everyone! Could not believe that this site has existed under my radar for the longest time. It's one of those moments when you come across something and realize that you've stumbled across a goldmine!

Anyway, I'm a "sorta" Pentax user. My equipment is as follows:

Samsung GX-10
SBG-D1V Battery Grip
Samsung Xenon 18-55 3.5 5.6
Pentax SMC M 50 1.7
Sigma 24-70 2.8 EX DG Macro
Tamron 28-300 3.5-6.3 XR AF Macro

I have always been a fan of Pentax as a brand, and I ended up with the GX-10 just because it was offered at a price and package that I couldn't refuse at the time.

Photography's been more of a passion for me than anything else.
