Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows of a photographic club in Shropshire, that mainly consists of the younger generation (myself!)

It's really hard to find other people around my age of 17 who are into photography as much as me.

Any information will be much appreciated,

Its true. ive learnt my lesson, i was just so excited, it was like my birthday come early!

SOLVED IT

with the grip, i didnt realise the battery compartment needed 6 batterys! i just thought the contact springs werent long enough!

And the flash just seemed to have a fit on its first try, works perfectly now!

Both of these items arrived today, i eagerly fitted the grip and tried that flash, all sound for the first half an hour!

with the flash, i get the dreaded "any button will shoot" and the grip wont accept double a batterys, but when i try the actual battery tray, it works?

also, my k5 screen is flickering, even without any attachments and the oem battery inside it, any one else have this?


i know i put the kiss of death on it buying these, but as a young person, i dont have the kind of money for the OEM stuff!

Hi all,

My names Owen, I'm 17, and luckily been using pentax for a few years now.
I started off at a young age with a fujifilm fixed bridge camera taking photos of myself and friends on our bikes.

I then wanted to upgrade and therefore bought a pentax Kx, i used that for a good year, and built up a status as a young photographer in my local bmx community.

As i grew and my skills grew too, i was approached by several lads in the bmx scene to photograph theyre band play. since then ive done alot of band work, and even photographed at the Birmingham HMV institute at the age of 16, with a full pentax KR kit.

Since then, ive involved myself in motocross, landscape, motorsports and other genres of photography. Recently i started an apprenticeship with RICOH uk, as a technical design engineer, and several months down the line, i bought a k5 to finally upgrade my kit to its limits.

But as soon as i did, Ricoh bought pentax! so what does that look like now? im sure im gonna get alot of stick now for "supporting" my own brand!

So thats a slight overview of myself and how ive got to where i am,

Currently, i enjoy alot of live music work, and alot of motor sports. I really want to get into landscape alot more, and try out some wildlife photography; and thats my plan for the next year.
