Love the first 2 - classic style - almost as old commercials/adverts - lovely.

My fav. is number 4. Only thing is the shadow under the chin. To bad - the look and everything else is perfect.

Very good shots overall. Amazed with the result without PP....

yes, love the warm sepia like tone, did you dodge the letter box or was that natural Nimitz?
No I didn't dodge the postbox - it is all natural - but a product of the HDR process. I made sure the tonemapping was like this so I had the result I wanted.

The light smoothing buttons changes the light in the picture. So it is just a matter of finding the right setting.

Thanks for the comment.

As Peter says, lovely and warm. I really like it.

Still don't know what HDR is yet

Not here to spam the forum with HDR - but just to show how different images you can produce mastering this technique.

This was done by photomatix, 3 shots, with 2 ev between each.Hope you enjoy it. C/C welcome as always.

Can anyone tell me if there are any good help guides that outline what the various controls do when tone mapping. It,s OK just playing with them but many seem to do similar things and leave me a little perplexed. It would be good to get a good understanding of what I am actually changing and why. what are the differences between Details enhancer and tone compressor in photomatix etc.. thanks
Did you download the pdf guide from HDR soft?

You can find it here. Read it first and see if it helps. If not post a new question.

Martin that is correct.

Itend to use a single shot with pictures with people in and 3/5 shots for others HDRs.

I would recommend this link to all who ar einterested in HDR.

I use Photomatix quite a lot. I love it - and it is excellent for HDR images as well as pure tonemapping.

Start by downloading the trial version and use that a few times first.

The last few uploads from my side is pure hdr with photomatix. Check the photo thread.
