check out www.pentax110.co.uk, you can get more or less anything related to System 10 from there. I've dealt with him a few times and he's always been great, even found me a couple of back caps which are very hard to get in Pentax 110 mount.

readily available is a strong term, it can be hard to get hold of, but Directfoto still process it and still send out Kodak replacement films. At least they did last time I shot a roll.

If you get Kodak 400 film you have to file the corner off the cassette though, because the cassettes are indexed as 100ASA (long tab) so you end up over exposed by 2 stops unless you modify them a bit.

I have one, with a few lenses. It would be nice if somebody would make a digital back for them.

well the sensors exist, the 4/3rds system is more or less the right size, of course the market is far too small so no one will ever do it

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I like to put a film through mine occasionally. I even made an adaptor out of OHP transparency so I can scan 110 negatives in my 35mm scanner. It's a bit basic, but it works.

Anyone else here got one of these?

I love mine, true a modern digi-compact makes at least as good a camera, but the 110 makes such a good conversation starter. I don't think I've met anyone who can resist commenting on it.

it's arrived

the battery is charging as I type!

obviously havn't been able to fire it up yet, but it feels sooo much better in the hand than the DL2. Everything about it just shouts "I am well made, I am a good camera, anything you still can't photograph is therefore your own problem". Not that this wasn't more or less true of the DL2 as well, but the K10 is another level. Even the switches and dials feel better than the corresponding ones on the DL2.

now, how to distract myself so I actually get some work done today....

OK I admit it, I'm weak, I gave in and ordered a K10D. It is arriving early next week (the shop in town sold their last one 3 hours before I got there, I'm too proud to buy it from Jessops and too lazy to drive to Watford).

I can't wait to play with my new toy, but there is a question which I can't make up my mind of the answer to

What to do with my DL2?

On the one side, it will never be worth more than it's worth now. It's in good condition and would fetch as much as any 2nd hand DL2 on ebay, which would help to offset the silly ammount of money I just spent.

On the other side, it's still a very good camera and it can run on AA's which the K10D can't do (come on Hahnel, give me an AA battery grip!). Also it gives me a second body such that I can have a long lens on one and a short lens on the other. Dad and I both used to do this with film bodys to great effect.

So then, do those of you with K10Ds still have your *ists as well? Does the K10 eclipse the *ist capabilities by so far that the *ist becomes not worth the bother? or is it basically a waste to mount the 18-55 kit lens on a K10D anyway so that I might as well leave it on the *ist and use the K10 for my longer/better lenses?

mmm indeed, I read the write up in full and it does not recommend using spot metering with a lens darker than F2, though it claims pattern and centre weighted modes are unaffected to at least F5.6

I've always wanted a DSLR with a split screen, but I'm not sure if I'm willing to trade spot metering for it.
