Hi Guys

Having finally got to grips with my K10D upgrade (thanks MattMatic )I've decided it's time for the DL2 to go.

I've owned the camera since new (approx 3 years) and taken about 12,000 pictures. Very good condition with only a few signs of use (Apart from part of the N on the pentaprism flaking off - now a new PEITAX brand ). Complete with box, manuals, cables, CD's etc.

Also the original 18-55mm lens (mk1) - again very good condition and virtually no signs of wear. Free of dust, scratches, mould etc. Again with box and accessories.

The camera has been upgraded to latest version of firmware and will come with 4 rechargable batteries and a 1GB SD card.

As you know it's an excellent starting camera. Looking for £165 delivered in UK (Outside UK postage available upon request).

Please PM if interested.

Thanks

Personally I have always used Pentax cameras and find them to be better handling that the competitors, together with the more robust feel, more exclusive brand etc.

The backward lens compatibility is also fantastic IMO. It means that you only need to upgrade the body and not your glass everytime. You also used to be able to pick up a few bargain lenses on eBay but this is becoming harder everyday..

I also think that the value of the products is fantastic - you are comparing a 450D which is one of Canon's lower range models against the K20D - currently the best camera Pentax produce; essentially you are comparing an amateur camera agains a semi-pro model!

Like John I personally find the Epson 1290 a great printer. If you can stretch to it or find a good secondhand example then the replacement R1800 is a cracking printer.

The Epson printers also have the advantage of being able to easily install a CIS to help cut down printing costs.

Hi Guys

As you can see I'm a fairly new member but have been a long time lurker!

I have been offered a K10D Grand Prix complete with grip for £450. Although used it's in very good condition and comes complete with all accessories manuals etc.

The question is, do I need it or is it just the offer that is tempting?

I currently have a *ist DL2 which I'm very happy with and would label myself as a keen amateur.

Thanks

Chris

Hi guys

Just to pick up on the original thread, I think that there are still a few bargains to be had they're just harder to find.

For example last week I was able to pick up a Sigma (apologies!) 105mm AF macro lens from ebay for £118 including postage. Really pleased with that considering the Pentax only manual K mount ones seem to go for a similar value.
