So the Butterfly seems to top the recommendations. Now where can I get this for the best price?

The K-x does have the clean on start up, but that isn't getting rid of the dust on the sensor.

Thanks for the tips, guys. As far as I can tell it is only dust on the sensor, so no liquid swabs or anything needed at the moment. I like the idea of the blower as I'm not too keen on touching the sensor, but if that doesn't do it I may have to go for the cleaning kit.

Hello all,

Can someone please point me in a good direction for sensor cleaning on my Pentax K-x. Do the Pentax CCD Image Sensor Cleaning Kit's do the business or am I better off paying loads of cash for the professionals to do it?

I'm usually pretty good with handling delicate tasks, so I'm not too worried about that, I just don't weant to waste my time on something that might not work that well.

Thanks, guys. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the heavy hdr look, I prefer keeping it somewhat realistic. Even the hdr photographers who's work I admire I find images that are way overcooked, and that doesn't work for me.

Great shot, Paul, this one has worked out REALLY well. Perfect lighting to place all of the elements where they need to be, mainly the arch lit up and the foreground statue in shadow. Very nice!

HDR is fairly easy. You'll need either a tripod or a SUPER steady hand (I normally lean against something, or kneel down, and try be as still as I can) as you'll be doing a few bracketed exposures (I always do three, but I'm no expert). 1 'normal' exposure, 1 overexposed and 1 underexposed. I use Photoshop to merge the images and then process the merged image in Photomatix. There are free programs out there for hdr images but Photomatix seems to be the best.

HDR is fun to play around with and can produce great results. There are too many bad results though, some people take the processing WAY too far and it looks terrible. I always try and maintain some sense of 'reality' in my hdr.

These are great, Emma, I really like them. I must get to this place next time I'm photographing in London, it looks awesome.

Have you tried any hdr shots in a place like this? That could really make the colours pop and produce some interesting results.
