Sensor cleaning for my K-x

To be honest there is no such thing as a sensor cleaning kit since you never actually clean the sensor but the protective filter that's on top of it.
For dust the Pentax kit will do or articbutterfly, you can also use a bellow but I never had much success with that.
For greases you need to use a liquid based cleaning like swabs link

I have never used any of those sensor cleaning kits, I find just using a rocket blower gets the job done without any problems.
Set the camera into mirror up for cleaning and hold the camera face down and give it a couple of good puffs and that should be all it needs. Just be careful not to touch the sensor with the tip of the blower. The KX is quite new so I wouldn't expect it to be to bad.

Thanks for the tips, guys. As far as I can tell it is only dust on the sensor, so no liquid swabs or anything needed at the moment. I like the idea of the blower as I'm not too keen on touching the sensor, but if that doesn't do it I may have to go for the cleaning kit.
Thanks,
Kev

Arctic Butterfly for me every time.
I got mine as the gift for a years subscription to digital camera magazine. The magazines ok, but the butterfly is very effective.

Another vote for the Arctic Butterfly here.
My reservation with blowers in bodies is that they may dislodge the dust, but there is no control over where it fetches up.

I'm voting for Artic Butterfly as well. I dont have a K-x, but do they not have a clean on startup like the K20?

The K-m does, so I assume the K-x does too.

If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.
Apparently.

The K-x does have the clean on start up, but that isn't getting rid of the dust on the sensor.

artic butterfly gets my vote every time.
But please be aware that when cleaning that when you do the dust alert don't point camera at a bright window as the image will appear in black on the white LCD screen (showing as a D Negative).
I did this and for about six clean's I realised it was the roof tops and not dirt/dust on my camera.

In that case go for the Artic Butterfly.

Can someone please point me in a good direction for sensor cleaning on my Pentax K-x. Do the Pentax CCD Image Sensor Cleaning Kit's do the business or am I better off paying loads of cash for the professionals to do it?
I'm usually pretty good with handling delicate tasks, so I'm not too worried about that, I just don't weant to waste my time on something that might not work that well.
Many thanks,
Kev
