For many people, the cost of buying Adobe Photoshop is prohibitively expensive. This is why many choose the second best Adobe option for image editing, Lightroom.

Besides I don't like Lightroom's archive system. "I own your files".
Adobe don't own my files, I don't give them to them. Instead, I prefer to make my own archive/backup.

You could try RawTherapee, it's a free RAW editor but I don't know if it supports K30 image files yet. Another reason for choosing one of the more mainstream editors is that they generally keep pace with new camera models.

Nice image, as usual.

Has her chin been rounded off in post processing? Her chin line doesn't match the line of the shadow, the latter being rather more pointed.

At a guess I'd say it was worth between £150 - £200 depending on condition and all the original box contents being with it.

You can check recent ebay selling prices for a better idea of how much it's worth.

Basically, it's worth as much or as little as somebody is prepared to pay for it. Somebody who really 'must have' a K10D for whatever reason may be prepared to pay more than others.

If you do decide to sell it, potential buyers are going to want to know the exact shutter count rather than a guesstimate. Download PhotoMe to find out how much mileage yours has done.

I'll assume you meant to write 10,000, not 100,000 with the comma in the wrong place. If it's really done 100,000, it's at its end of life and worth next to nothing.

I've no experience of either camera model you mention, but I do know that the split-image focusing screen in your K200D was not fitted as standard.

This screen from Katzeye will fit your new K-30, so you could continue to focus the way you want.

I'm sure they probably charge at or near to the going rate for whatever repair is required. A complete overhaul of a mechanical camera is a skilled and time consuming job and is likely to cost significantly more than say, having a winding lever replaced (for instance).

Also, they guarantee the camera against further defects for 6 months. Not bad for an approximately 50 year old camera.

Thanks Matt, I've found the lens profiles and had a quick look, and now my brain hurts.

Well I did type "baulk" to start with, but my spill chucker baulked at it and changed it to balk.

I don't think the lens profile I choose affects the problem I'm having Matt.

By default, no lens profile is applied. When using the Library Filter in grid view, if I look in Metadata > Lens, I have three lenses listed, the 2 x Pentax lenses I used (16-50mm and 50-135mm) are correctly identified and named as smc Pentax-DA* etc. The Sigma lens is named "Unknown Lens".

The list of lens profiles in LR 4.2 has only one entry for Sigma 70-200mm 1:2.8 EX DG OS HSM

There is also an entry for the MKII Macro version.
