Right, instead of home I decied to go to my office where all my FA* are. Taken about 30 shots with the 31mm and man this camera is such a big upgrade from K20D, The screen is alot better, focus a bit faster and it just feel much better than the K20D.
For those of you still thinking rather to get the K5 or not, Just stop thinking and go ahead to buy one before tomorrow since the cashback offer ends tomorrow.
With the cashback offer in SRS for £689, it makes UK one of the cheapest deal in the world. Same price as I would able to get from Hong Kong after the cashback so I get it in the UK with SRS for the extra warrnty.

I am my girlfriend is going to kill me when she gets home tonight. I am right now on the train from watford heading back to London with a K5 + battery grip from SRS.

The UK and EU economy is bad and fewer people purchase cameras but pentax's main market is in Asia, mainly in Japan and Taiwan. I don't think the EU economy will change pentax's marketing plan as a whole, surly they can not make discounts in EU while keeping their products expensive elsewhere.

Hi everyone,
I finally bought a Sigma 50mm F1.4 HSM lens off ebay for £260. I was really having a hard time choose between this sigma or the DA*55mm for the past 6 months. The DA* is far too overpriced and I just find it very hard to spend such money for it. The sigma isn;t cheap either, marketing it for around £360 brand new. I hated the build quality of the FA50mm 1.4.
I have no idea how good or bad my sigma will be like. Still have to wait for it to arrive. But I just can't wait.
Does anyone has he sigma 50mm 1.4 and can tell me what should I be excpeting in term of IQ compare to the FA50mm 1.4?

I am sorry if I have said something wrong. What I meant is after looking at these images I think they are lack of contrast and need a lot of post editing. A jpg file come out from my K110d with kit lens do look better. I used to shoot film before getting the K110d 4 years ago and result was very similar to yours as well. My comment is nothing personal but point out the fact that I just wouldn't shoot film on 35mm again. Medium format I still do but that is only because I can not afford a 645D.
