I first saw these Divers a couple of days ago, looked them up but was unsure, today I was told they are Great Northern Divers, of two birds the expert said one was a youngster. It's the first time I have knowingly ever seen one, shots were taken on the River Plym Estuary.
Today with the K1 and DA* 300 f4 and 1.4 TC, PP'd in Rawtherapee with some sharpening, more than 100% crop as theyy were too far out really. Enjoy;

No volunteers today to walk on the Mountbatten Pier in Plymouth, and no Shag seabird on the wall!
( don't know what happened to my original post here, perhaps I didn't hit 'ADD' key??) second attempt;

Really nice shots, I like all of them, thanks for sharing.
We are also suffering with rain here in the South West.

While I'm on a roll with phrases, just heard on the radio station fivelive, regarding snooker, (which I don't follow) match between Trump and Allen, the commentator said "Trump about to break". Sorry, I'll get me coat.

I also like the phrase "when I'm pushing up daisies" from an old late friend I trained with who excelled at the bench press.

I am tempted, maybe just the way forward as I age, as they say "you can't take it with you" and "there aren't any pockets in shrouds". Plus the care homes will only take it. I would like to sign off with LOL but.....

It's a really good shot, obviously you could lighten it up a bit but for a quick snap I like it. In hibernation and do I see a fleck of frost/snow/ice on it?
It reminds me of finding butterflies hibernating under a concrete structure years ago.
Lovely to see, thanks for sharing 👍
Happy new year Steve and all the best.
