Must focus!

the main problem with altitude is that water boils at a lower temperature, due to the gasses erupting from fluids at a lower air pressure. That means that your breakfast cuppa will be luke warm at best.. around 70° at the top of Everest.
Far more important..

I've never used one, but you can get the manual here..
http://www.vintagecameras.co.uk/manual1.htm
for £5.
I've got an ME Super here somewhere, and I was going to have a look at the hotshoe to see how many contacts it has.. so I checked.. just two, (well, three.. ground, trigger and ready, acording to Bdimtrov's site) so no, it won't do TTL metering for the flash. This is down to the body though, not the flash unit.
Hope that helps,
Cheers

and you're very welcome.. my eyes have recovered somewhat now..
For some reason (blind as a bat) , I seem to struggle a bit with this lens, but the results are worth it. I don't get the same problem with my 70-210 soligor f3.5 (constant) macro, and can focus on individual veins of a leaf.. the DOF is a fraction of that with the f2, but it's easier somehow. It is a good lens though, and at a tenner (20$C ish) it's an absolute bargain.
I hope your daughter enjoys it.. and doesn't break too many in the process..

It was raining, so I did these inside, without flash, and with no sharpening.. no really.
First one was f22, second f2.. and I already know I haven't done the lens or my own capabilities any justice whatsoever.. well the lens anyway..

Could someone with eyes that work please post a couple of 50-M f2 images up that are actually in focus please, 'cos I've done no favours to it at all. I'm off for a beer now, so at least I can't see properly for a reason..

I've just looked through the ones I took with the f2, and it being a Halloween party all the good ones contain kids. As I don't have permission to post them here, I'll be back in 20 minutes.. I'll go and take some outside, now that it's dark..

I've got an f2-M, and although it's not the fastest.. I've since picked up an FA1.7.. it's very good for low light. You can hand hold in near darkness at ISO 800, and come away with some good shots. I'll post a couple later, if you want. Bonus as well.. if she breaks it, you can get her another for a tenner or less.
