That, my friend is tremendous.
I am insanely jealous, as soon as I get a decent tripod my K10D and Sigma 50-500 will be pointing skyward.
The exposure is spot on, three cheers for the K10D and McBrians capable hands.

Excellent work Brian......now whereabouts did they supposedly leave all that 'lunar-lander' stuff?
Die my dear doctor, that's the last thing I shall do!

Don't believe him folks!
Just like the lunar landing back in the 60's, the whole thing was shot in a studio!!
Shame on you, Brian!
"One Giant Leap for Pentax!"
Really - Good on ya! That'll be tough to beat!

Lovely shot.
A testament to the camera or the photographer?
Here's a quote from Wikipedia:

Hi all, thanks for the nice words, think I just got lucky but I will say the SMC-A 400 is a beautiful lens to use, the focus action is so smooth and you get a nice bright viewfinder image....it all helps I suppose.
Cheers

Yes but it'll cost more than a couple of new K10D's to have all those 'blads serviced. Just imagine all the dust that must be inside 'em by now. I'll bet all of the seals are perished. So if we go to the moon we can get free cameras?

What great shot's.
I'm no expert and I wish I could get as good shots as these. However do I detect a slight green tinge? Is it my monitor or is the cheese starting to go rotten.
Definitely no criticism intended.

The Kingdom of Fife
big orange moon was hanging just above the horizon, great I
thought...lets see if I can get a decent moon shoot with the K10D.
When I arrived home I had to attend to the invalid (Flu = dying ) which
took up some valuable shooting time but the moment duly came when I
was free to go and do some shooting
Massed the gear together in the kitchen, stepped outside......jeez where'd
them clouds come from , un-petered I set up waiting for breaks in
the cloudcover, first with the Sigma 70-200, then the Sigma + 2x APO
then DA50-200 and last the A400 and A400 + 2x APO. The clouds didn't
really break any but I got a few brief glimses through whipsy clouds.
Full frame, K10D SMC-A400 f4 + Sigma 2x APO 1/4s f/8.0 iso100
100% Crop
The K10D is not a bad tool at all.
