My MX needs doing due to mirror sticking and my bothers does aswell(after Dad was examining it his foam came of to!!!) but should I send it away as they both are missing bits of trim the battery covers and one is missing the motor wind cover! Am I right that trim is included in the the price of a full service from Asahi Photo and the like?

On the camera front ask around I have only ever bought my Miranda MS-3 (a 35mm camera with k mount) and my *ist D the others (2 MX's, Olympus FTL and Ricor KR-10M) have all been by word of mouth I have kodak box brownie that I should play around with (I put a 120 in it a few years ago and haven't touched it yet!)- Slide film I find is far superior on days like to day and shows the winter sun well!.

On another note is it possible to get B&W slide film.

BTW I am 17 and have been messing around with film for quite a few years and only jumped to digital in the summer.

Hi after a whole unit on digital on my 'AS' Photography course we have now got on to film. But what do people think is the best paper to print on perl or gloss - Are there other types. It will need to be in 10x8 sheets

PS and I got a Ricoh KR-10M of a friend the other day - Mum says I have to many cameras!- i can only count 4!!

i get the good ones printed off at the local photo shop who i also go to for my film stuff - it keeps them in buisness and is far cheaper & better quality than home printing! All i need now are some new albums!!!

I've been playing with the flashes my Miranda 700CD wouldn't work on it nor would my days 700CD! my brothers would though! also my 1/2 broken jessops fash worked & my brothers Thyrister Flash! i am going to see if i can swap with him as mine works fine on his Olympus FTL!

Cheers for the replys also i took apart some old CRV3 baterrys and found they are literaly 2 AA's taped together! is there any advantage using these over AA photo lithiums and can you still get the battery grip BG-1 at a resonable price in the UK?

Hi I have had my 2nd hand *ist D for around a month now and have some questions
1. why won't any of camera flashes work - hot shoe & sync lead 1980's dedi and 'standard'?
2. Why wont it work with non ka/kaf lenses?
3. Can I use a CF to SD adaptor in it?

Note i have just upgraded to the latest firm ware- this should have solved these shouldn't it?

do you know what thread the battery cover takes mine is missing the cove and we don't know what to replace it with. - this will probably cause uproar but i prefer my miranda - it may just be more experience with it or semi auto shutter speed.
