Hi guys,

Was up at my granny's house with my brother on the weekend and got some ok shots of my nephew's with her. Can anyone explain what the discoloration is around my grandma's chin and on both nephew's shoulders? Is this caused by her glasses or have I set something up wrong? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for all the welcomes guys, after advice received late last night by two members I can already foresee this being a very enjoyable experience. A'la Peter's post above, has anyone else got any brand new Pentax lenses they are looking to sell for half retail (or better, hey I'm not fussy!)?

Great, thanks Barrie. Bonus that I can drop the kit off to him. Will email Alan too.

Hi John,

Beat you to it and actually just paid for the membership before I read your message. Thanks for the advice and I'll get in touch with JPS. Great start to my experience on here!

Lew.

Thank Barrie, early days on here. I'm in Woodford Green, Essex but work in London.

Evening John and big thanks for getting back to me so quickly! After a quick play about, it seems it's switched off permanently. Is there anywhere I can take this in to or will it need to be sent off to a Pentax repairer? I'm loathe to send it anywhere tbh and would probs just put up with it if this is the case. Should also point out that my Dad managed to lose the button when he knocked it off...

Hiya,

I'm proudly using a hand-me down K20d from my old man, a Pentax enthusiast. When he gave it to me he had managed to knock off the Shake Reduction button located on the back, bottom right. Does anyone have any idea either a) where I can get a replacement button from, or b) if there is a way to set the SR to off/on in the camera's settings. I've trawled the web and couldn't find help on either of these. It's currently set to off however as my photography mixes between street and landscape I could probably do with being able to switch.

Thanks,

Lewis.

I've been filching the info I've sporadically needed from this excellent site for a good six months or so now and as I'm starting to get into photography quite heavily I thought I'd finally register and partake properly. I'm using (badly at the moment anyway) a K20d hand-me-down from my Dad (a stoic Pentax man who's upgraded to the K5 I think) which I've added a few lenses to. Back when I was a young chap I had a P30 which I'm going to try and find when I head back home to Australia for a holiday at the end of the year. Anyways, really looking to learn and improve my technique and looking forward to displaying my progress...
