Glad to see my somewhat half-hearted comment has sparked off a constructive conversation.
Personally, I would like to see a dedicated section for sales as I would prefer to sell to a site regular.
Irrespective of an item's monetary value, at least I would feel that it has gone to a good home.

Perhaps we should have a classified ads. section!

Pentax compacts (digitals in particular) do seem to have more than their fair share of problems don't they?
Foul language might make you feel better but it's not exactly constructive is it?

Please remember that this is a public forum and is not directly associated with Pentax, this site is dedicated to Pentax enthusiasts and while we offer advice based on knowledge and personal experience, technical / warranty issues should be addressed (with a certain level of decorum) to the relevant Pentax department.

Kim,
I too have an SXFn manual and also one for the MV.
I'd like to hang on to the SFX for now but I'll drop you a PM when I dig out the MV one - you're most welcome to it!

I think I've got a winder MEII manual somewhere as well.

The 75-150 zoom range used to be very popular and was somewhat superceded by the 80-200/70-210mm ranges. A 75-150 lens of any make is the sort of thing your likely to stumble upon at a real bargain price in second-hand shops and the like.
I would imagine however that you've got yourself a reasonable buy at £69 for such a superb lens, in mint condition.
I suppose it's true value, as with anything, depends upon how much you're going to use it and the personal value you place on the results - I guarantee you will not be disappointed with the performance and that surely must be worth every penny!

Both types fit on the K-mount perfectly.
The PK-A version has electronic contacts that allow information to be exchanged between the camera and lenses. The features available depend on the particular camera and lens combination you are using but if your camera has the standard K mount, then the lens will act as an ordinary K lens and the contacts will be redundant.
The optical performance of the lens will not be affected in any way and will work perfectly.

Hope that helps.

I've never used a P30T, but I imagine it's pretty standard - ML will lock the exposure settings while you recompose the image and you'll need the B setting to lock the mirror for as long as the shutter button is pressed.
A locking cable release is particularly useful for loooooooong exposures!
