Great news Geoff. These are expensive lenses so it is good to know you are not stuck on this.
We're the parts costly?

As above, a donor DA 18-135, DA 17-70 or DA 18-270 (these are likely the cheapest) or spares and repairs lens may be the only option if the part is not available.
A google search for Pentax Power Contact 48200-0M291 shows next to no entries, where you might expect pages of them for anything else.
Fingers crossed for Pye for now, I have found them to be very good in the past.

Lens arrived, very well packaged, and it is truly mint. Actually it is more like new!

I am not sure I can match the bee on the blossom photo above, but I will certainly give the lens a good work out. At the Duxford airshow a couple of weekends ago the 18-135 was too short, so the 55-300 should be a good compliment to it on the K5II.

Thanks Kevin!

I'm please it got there so quickly, it's a good copy. Take care.

Yes it is for use with my k5ii. That wont work with the PLM so i am after the WR version.

I have the WR version (HD Pentax-DA 55-300mm F4-5.8 ED WR), in good condition, boxed and with the pouch that I bought new from SRS years ago. Nowadays it rarely sees any use except on my K-1ii in crop mode. I used it this last weekend for a local air show. These are unsharpened and uncropped.

If I move it on It will prompt me to get something FF.
I'll take some shots of the lens if you are interested.
Say £105 delivered in UK?

To answer my own question, No.
When they are on discount no further discounts can be applied.
I have another copy of the D FA 24-70 on the way to me

Thanks Lenny, that is helpful actually.
Do you know if Plus Membership would get a further discount?, and if so, How?
TIA

Working MX's have held a price for a while, but recently non guaranteed working ME Supers and even MG variant have increased considerably. I also get a sense that traditional dealers are buying up items on eBay and then reselling through more traditional channels a few weeks later.

Regarding your last sentence, I have had that thought as well.
