As soon as I get the card, I will arrange for insurance cover.

My camera was not actually 'stolen'... I left the camera case on a street wall of the house where I was meeting my friends, whilst I walked few metres to the corner, to check out something. When I returned, the case was gone... Just picked up by someone, thinking it was left out for 'trash' collection.... when he opened the case, must have realised that it was Christmas all over again....

Thanks. Have checked out the 5. However, the 7 is quite adequate for my needs and pocket, as we are not quite sure whether it was actually 'stolen', until the Council refuse offices open tomorrow, as it is quite possible they, in a small caged truck, picked it off the wall outside a friend's house, whilst I was at a corner waiting for my car. Stupid, I know, but that what has happened.

My kit was stolen this am. Need to get a replacement. Any of you got a suggestion as to source, as those googled, are out of stock.

Well, lots of water has passed under the bridge since I first posted my problem.
I have now realised that the whole problem was due to very small, stupid event. when inserting a new lens, I pressed the black safey button....
How silly, but one learns.... all the flap for nothing... anyway, the response was very good and much appreciated..

johnx: yes, indeed....but by the same token, could have very well done without it...))...What would have I done without you guys? Most probably, get drunk, curl up in a corner and feel sorry for my camera, if not my self....

MattTatic: am not that North, just around Liberec. It has been unbelievably hot, so perhaps polchraine is right... but had a good laugh about 'fiddling' with bits and pieces....
