Mike-P: you are reading it properly! I also wanted a hotshoe adapter for the flash. Phoned couple of places, but they did not have it. Couple other places were busy.... Perhaps I should have been more patient. Fotosense had the shoe, so I went with them. At a cost of about twenty quid... Not the end of the World... perhaps I should try harder next time..

Oh, guys, it seems that I have not got that bad a deal... On Monday I got an email telling me that the order was processed... Spoke to them and it seems that it won't with me in London until Monday. Maybe, just a glitch... I was not bitching about their prices, which for Metz flash were much higher than others.... Oh well, that's life..

oops... yes fotosense.co.uk.. Even if you deduct the non-work days, it is far too long. Have commented to them, now awaiting their reply. SHould it ever come. 2-3 taken from their confirmation of order.

Just a bit of a warning to members. Have ordered a Metz flash with these guys, whose website is quite impressive. Prices are not. Delivery, although quted to be 2-3 working days is just a dream. My flash took TEN DAYS from Bolton,Lancs to London....Not a place to shop if you want something in a hurry...

Thanks, Stefan. My finances permit the Metz, but not quite the AF 540/360.. I am now looking for a hot shoe adaptor, so that I can put it on my new light stand, which I bought today, after I read the above comments...

Now, that it done, I should appreciate advice as to what off-camera flash I should get to put on top of this stand. Don't particularly fancy paying all the money for the AF series flashes. Any suggestions, please? I assume that if a half-decent flash is used with the built-in flash, I do not need to connect the flash to the camera?
