Hi there.

The 10-17 Pentax fisheye is an excellent and fun lens. I really enjoy using it for those unsual pics, especially buildings.

Works best on intense strong sunny weather, and needs lots of underexposing to get the best result, but is VERY sharp.

Would recommend.

Hi all,

I keep looking at other peoples images of London by low-light and night. I always have wanted to try this, but you read so many reports on tripod photography in London, and the complications it can sometimes bring ie Police, wardens, security and personnel safety.

What are your thoughts?. Have any of you had good/bad experiences and can recommend places/times to be.

Also, in the User mag this time is a really good guide to London. Are their exclusions to tripod pics during the day. Again, I wanted to shoot Trafalgar Square and its fountains.

Hi all,

Just asking about your thoughts on Baby photography.

A friend has asked me to possibly take some photos of their 1 yr old baby.

My normal and favourite subjects are normally Landscape/seascape & Motorsport/Transport photography, of which I get very good results. So as you can see, worlds away from portraiture.

Do you think it is worth offering and having ago, or is it a hard subject and best avoided, as I have NO experience of portait pics.

They are trying to save costs, as pro pics can cost lost of money.

If you recommend having ago, what would you recommend to start with? e.g equipment required, settings, lighting???? etc

Hi there.

I have the 21mm Limited and I think it is an excellent walk-around lens that you could keep on the camera all day.
Very light and the hood is brilliant.

The lens is very sharp in the centre frame, but a little distortion can be seen at the far edges sometimes.
A nice bright lens. Overall produces sharp contrasty pics.

One I would go for!

Also try the 40mm Pancake. Its 90g and tiny.

Hi all,

I am currently looking at getting one of these prime lenses for ultra-wide landscape work.
I currently use a 21mm, 40mm limited and the 10-17 fisheye, and really enjoy and rate these lenses.

Have any of you got the 14mm f2.8 and can recommend it, or would you consider the 12-24mm f4 or even the 16-45 f4 which has a 16mm wide end.

I must admit, I do like the primes on the Pentax.

Any thoughts on this 14mm lens.
