I'll be keeping the two zooms as I'm waiting to see if an upgraded K3 turns up. If not or if it's daft money, I'll be getting a K1 but I'd like to stay APSC if possible.

Excellent Magazine, they just do one review a month and the rest is all about taking photographs.
I was lucky enough to be bought a subscription for Christmas. When it runs out I might go for the half price digital option on my tablet.
Everything I've read about the KP leads back to it being much dearer than the K3 II I got for £699 recently but smaller battery, one card slot, cheaper shutter etc.
With the Mk II and the newer PLM motor 55 - 300mm telephoto I'm finding all my K3 slow inaccurate AFC problems have gone away.
The low noise ISO of the KP intrigues me though. Have Sony provided a fresh sensor or is it in the tinkering of the software? If the latter where's the patch for my K3II please?
I'm hoping for the same price point as the Nikon D7500, or I'll just buy a secondhand K1.
Small battery, yes but I got 700 shots out of mine last week, cheaper shutter, not sure about that, yes it is a 1/6000th and 100,000 shots but it is as nicely damped as the K3 and much less noisey than the K70.
Single card slot, well yeah but they were trying to make it as small as possible and I don't miss it...Yet...
The 55-300 intrigues me but there is supposedly a 70-300 coming, a tamron rebadge I reckon and I'm holdong out for that un...

Thanks for the comments. It is the right hand side, and so the bluebell wood - the flowers to right of foreground tree are mushy, from front to back whereas they are sharp in the rest of the frame (and that is stopped down to f8 ). And yes Nigel, that rhs on boat image is awful.
I have printed the bluebell wood at A4 and it shows up easily!
Peter; I have done the wall test and it shows up badly at wider angle settings on the rhs of frame.
I am in a quandary as for some focal lengths and so on this lens shows some great sharpness etc. The trouble is this is the 4th copy I have had, all exhibiting the same fault (some worse than this) and understandably SRS are getting a bit fed up with having to arrange collection and replacement.
We discussed my recent debacle with the Da* 16-50mm F2.8 and all my serial numbers were pretty close together which might mean a batching problem with SRS's stock?
If you could get a free repair via Johnsons, or get any new lens tested there first, they could get it on the bench for you and that would solve the problem once and for all! Assuming it was repairable that is, after four goes, like me you'll be a bit fed up! I've eventually settled on the 20-40 Linited to fill the gaap between my 12-24 and the 50-135 but the limited may not suit your usage due to it's small zoom range. I'll bet SRS would be willing to get the lens serviced free of charge to solve the problem.
Best of luck mate, it shouldn't have to be this difficult.

Nice set Jules, The lusher the location the less available light of course.
I particularly like the last of Aira Force. What settings please? I've been very impressed with improved SR on my K3 II. I need to tripod test the composite modes for slowing down water too.
I can vouch that to my mind the KP's SR is better again, Still Re-getting used to all the compositing modes too but I seem to remeber the averaging to be great in a nine shot exposure, almost as good as using an ND filter. These modes are absent on the Fuji's and they are just so useful for landscape, can't be ignored any longer, my Fuji kit has now bought the farm and what little is left is being disposed of as we speak!
