Hi guys, maybe you could help me out here?
Bought a secondhand 43 from SRS The other day and the lens is now in my hands and is in beautiful condition, so no probs there then.
Took it out today because it's World pentax day and all! First problem of the day is that I forgot to set up the date on my K7 so it's sat at 19/04/2010, bugger!
Second problem, The 43 doesn't seem to be able to find infinity focus? No confirmation of focus in the view finder the hexagon is flashing and no beeep (Turned the beep off now anyways!) I don't want to send it back for a refund as I'm already fond of it, but I suppose I could live with a repair job! Up to the last indicated mark of eight Mtr's it's fine but after that I am no longer getting confirmed focus. Some of the days Shots have come out decidedly blurry. I'm not sure if it's me not giving SR enough time or if the Lens just ain't in focus! Using F11 and around 125th Of a second with SR on in bright-ish light, test charts anyone?
Is this a known Ltd problem?
Cheers Jules.

I may have a great deal on a 12-24 but really wanted the 15 limited, price will be about the same! Feel like the zoom is too good to miss at that price, so I'll go with it because the optics are soo good. 40 ltd next then I'm torn. Want A good focal length for airshows so I want the 300 ( Is there a convertor that works Sdm?) which means I need either the 50-135 or the 60-250 to fill the gap which is getting a bit pricey for me! Any good alternatives you guys can come up with? Had nothing but trouble with Sigma on my Nikon bodies but I may be willing to try again...

Well I finally got to look at the K7 and I'm sold! Just got to flog off all my Nikon Gear now and were Set, I also Have to Say I was really taken with the two little WR Zooms and for £899 it Seems a real Bargain for the K7 and the Two Lenses. K7 is sweeeet! Not too big, not too small and solid with a decent balance and heft, everything seems to be pretty much in the right place and I could operate it without looking at the Manual straight away! No frills and frippery, just a Nice Camera, I think we'll get along fine...

Sharpness is my #1 concern actually! Then price, I'm looking at a K7 at the weekend and one of the options is the lens you mentioned
F2.8 on a zoom not so much coz thats what the Limiteds will be for
Hows this one in comparison to the 17-70?
Cheers Jules...
