IPS is always good.
What you might want to look at as well is that you get a matt screen and how good you can set the settings of the monitor.
The ASUS one looks good and it has a 12bit LUT (Look Up Table) as well but the panel is 10bit so colour wise should be good.
You can also look at what HP as to offer, these for example.

Would love a colormunki too but it's out of budget, if I buy the Asus screen which is the one I want then so is the Xrite as well! That will leave me back with the old Mk1 Eyeball, as far as calibration goes but it may be worth it!

Cheers Arto this is just the sort of info I need, I actually have a Spyder 2 and was going to upgrade to a Spyder 3 but I'll have a look at the Eye One kit now.

Currently I have a Dell ultrasharp 2208 (TN?)Five years old now and I am struggling to get the colour accuracy I want.
Thinkin of this one
ASUS PA246Q 24.1-inch Proart LCD Monitor - Black (P-IPS)
http://uk.asus.com/Display/LCD_Monitors/PA246Q/
But it's £400+, not expensive for 98% of Adobe RGB, I have to count the pennies though...
So I'm also tempted by the Dell U2311H (H-IPS)
£200

My Question is this, since I calibrate with a Spyder 3 anyway will I see an awful lot of difference between the two?
In the end if the Asus is that much better I will go with that but...

I thought it would be a useful footnote to this thread to say that my 200AW is here, and it's perfect. It comfortably holds everything on my list, plus my Metz 48 flash, with sufficient space left over that a Limited could be fitted in easily, and something bigger probably could with a bit of cramming. I'm chuffed enough with this setup though, that I'm now on LBA hiatus and will get to know my newly-portable kit much better before I even consider adding another lens. As a bonus, it is light enough (in relative terms) that I can see myself taking it out more often - and that really is the key!
Hope the LBA Stays in remission
