Ahh yes Roots.....Here; Papa washes the driveway preparing for the arrive of four different branches of his family. The boat represents the return of the Acadien people who were deported from their own country..(french Canadians)... they returned by way of the Atlantic Ocean....
The colours ..Red...White...Blue are taken from the Acadien flag which is dorned with a yellow star in the upper right.
The Acadiens were driven from Canada during a civil war ...and later allowed to return...This celebrations marks the 'return' of a people from over 100 years ago ..
The names on the sails are as follows...."Savoies"..."Doucets"..."Allains"...."Comeau"...
The sign on the boat...in English says..."The Gathering of our Families."
Many generations of a people will arrive on the weekend... There will be, much music, dance, food and many generations of a people. These are STRONG ROOTS INDEED!

After all she is the creator of this little world bubble. And maybe like our creator...she just wants to be in the background of the creations but not eliminated
Nice picture Dar....I would mark that one a special favorite...might be a nice on for the wall
