The 10-20 is also in great shape and shows just light signs of use. Forgot to say above that it also comes with a Pro 1 lens protection filter (as well as the polariser) which has been on there since I got it - I'd be hoping for around £300 (or near offer) for this lens with the two filters.
Hope this helps and sounds reasonable.

For those who remember, forum member Simon Kitchen tried a number of these before finding a really good one - this is that lens, which I bought from him about 6 months ago. It's in great shape and has only light signs of use. Reason for sale is that it's helped me discover the ultrawide angle isn't really my bag - but if it's your's, then this would be a great lens to use!
Sigma 17-70 f2.8-4.5 - pretty much as new, with caps, hood (light signs of use), box and Marumi protector filter fitted from new.
A little over a year old (and comes with the newer and much better centre pinch cap), but only very lightly used. Great sharp lens with build quality way beyond its price point. Nice upgrade to the kit lens. Reason for sale is simply that I increasingly use primes and on the occasion when I take zooms, I'm either using the WR kit lens (especially this week) or the 18-250 as a one size does OK for most things. The Sigma is great but I'm not using it so it may as well go to somebody who'll put it to better use.
Please send PM with offers if you are interested, and as soon as I get a reasonable suggestion, I'll let you know.
Thanks for looking,
Jon

If you're into gig photography, you probably need something around the 50-150mm mark, but with a fast aperture to keep the shutter speeds high and ISO low(ish). Getting good results from a slow telezoom may be somewhat frustrating, although I'm sure you'll get some.
The ideal lens would be the 50-135 f2.8 DA* but price will put that massively beyond reach? In which case, some of the best gig photos I've seen from Pentax cameras have been with old MF 135mm lenses - you can buy great Pentax f2.5 (especially the "SMCK" with a 58mm filter thread) or f3.5 (compact "SMCM") 135mm lenses in good condition for between £50-£80.
That said, the 55-300 is recognised as the best buy in its class for Pentax cameras - a step up from the 50-200 lens, and with very good image quality for its price.
If you want a decent upgrade to the kit lens, I am thinking of selling a mint condition and boxed Sigma 17-70 lens - compared to the 18-55, it is wider, longer, faster, sharper....and bigger. PM me if you are interested and I can send some photos - but I'd be looking for around £160; it's in as new condition and rarely used.
