Not quite all the frame visible but much easier for focusing. I recommend it.

I wear specs (very short sighted :shock and don't find it a big problem. You can just see the whole frame, but I find I have to move very slightly to get the indicators at the bottom.
Still highly recommended though

I have used the O-ME53 Magnifying Eyecup for some time now and was never without it, great for closup macro work.
I don't wear glasses and have never had a problem viewing with it,
I have recently purchased a KPS eyepiece, this magnifies to X1.3 as apposed to the O-ME53 eyepiece which is x1.2, I highly recommend the KPS, it fits nicely over the eye.
Heres a rather obscure pic of it, but the only one I have.

I wear glasses and I use the magnifier. When I bought my K20D recently I bought one for that camera, too. With glasses it's not as convenient as without but life is not as convenient with glasses as without.

My main annoyance with it was not being able to see the indicators at the bottom very easily with it on. Since accidentally breaking it (I have not had a good month for breaking equipment) I haven't bothered to replace it.
Cheers, Kris.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Stefan I guess there might be an issue with the fact that the flip up magnifier is described as adding "2x magnification to the central portion of the focusing screen, recommended for critical focusing".
The original poster mentioned something suitable for use for general photography
Edit: So having not used one there would be a question mark in my mind about what happens to the rest of the focus screen.

I recently acquired the O-ME53 for use with my K10d and M series lenses. It makes a surprising difference. I recommend it.
I focus using the matte screen - I do not like focusing aids in my field of view, and I dislike the effect on metering. It makes manual focusing just that little bit easier.

Thank you Greytop, it was a personal question really since I found one at a good price.Stefan I guess there might be an issue with the fact that the flip up magnifier is described as adding "2x magnification to the central portion of the focusing screen, recommended for critical focusing".

Was thinking about using it for macro work and studio work when using shallow depth of field.
Because you can flip it up you can first get the framing right and the focus close and then flip it down to focus it perfectly, at least that was the idea.

Does anyone use the O-ME53 Magnifying Eyecup for the K10 for general photography. Can you still see the whole viewfinder in view??
Kind regards
Graham
