Been waiting two weeks so far and not heard anything.... Reckon I'll wait another week and then phone to see what's happening. I guess things may have taken time to catch up after Christmas and the snow.

I agree - I have various MF lenses ranging from the easily-available but still very good 50mm f1.7 (M), 135 f3.5 (M) through the slightly easier to use SMCA 28mm f2.8 (perfect length on APSC) plus a couple of Tamron's - the 500mm SP (great if you use it with care) and possibly the sharpest lens in my bag - the 180 SP f2.5. The latter is a fantastic lens, but hard to find.

By the way - if you like these old lenses but want to get new equivalents, the Voigtlanders in PKA fit are brilliant and a well-priced alternative to Pentax limiteds. The Nokton 58mm f1.4 would be a keeper even if I had to get rid of just about everything else.

Anyone out there got an old 35mm body with squidgy foam seals that need to be cleaned and replaced to keep the light out?

I have a spare Interslice kit (look them up on the web, they're about the best you can get for this) which will help you do this in a pleasant evening with suitable accompanying refreshment (latter not included).

No charge - but perhaps if you're interested you might make a small charitable donation instead (the DEC for Haiti being one possible suggestion but any decent charity will do)?

PM me if you'd like to take up this offer.

Cheers,

Jon

Mike - thanks for the comment and glad all worked out well. PS - should I send a note to you first if I put anything else up for sale?

I know which one of my lenses you want, and you can't have it....

Hi Mike - here's a couple of my photos with that lens before it went to its new home... glad you're enjoying it (it's a good 'un):

Let's see how the Opteka 85 is going too!

Absolutly - might have gone within minutes of the photo being taken - already looks like the centre of the lens had cleared.

It's not vignetting: that would be dark, and this sample isn't. It is an issue with the 18-250 though, but Pete has got a slim filter so he's done what he can to minimise (other than not have a filter at all).

I agree - I think it's condensation that happened at the time the photograph was taken: all the more likely given that the situation does not appear to have recurred since.

I know this is a Pentax forum, but for reasonably priced image stabilised compact cameras with decent image quality and build, I think the Panasonic Lumix models are the ones to beat. Higher up the range then I'd also perhaps be looking either at Ricoh or possibly Canon Powershots.
