Very interesting video review posted by Chris Nicholls on the PetaPixel channel. The 17 isn't really (at all) for me but looks like a lot of fun and more capable than I'd feared. I suspect it'll be a slow burn outside Japan/Asia but wouldn't be surprised if it's really quite popular in its home market - I hope so because I think Ricoh Pentax put a lot of thought into it and hopefully it'll encourage them to do some more thinking outside of the usual box.

Hi - it clicks into place and stays there, but not firmly. Personally if I was carrying the camera for an extended period outdoors eg on a hike, I'd probably take the hood off until it's required. But I've used it recently for theatre dress rehearsal work, with no issues whatsoever - and wouldn't hesitate to do the same. Hope this helps, Jon

As per the title, any interest in my 50-135/2.8 Limited, which has been converted to screw drive to get around SDM failure? It's in lovely condition and, if anything, the focussing works faster than the SDM did - although obviously it's not as silent. Certainly more reliable though!

Cosmetically pretty much unmarked and optically great apart from a few dust specs as you'd expect, complete with both caps and hood - although the latter is slightly looser than I would like; it still locks into place, but not as firmly as when it was new. Image quality is as good as ever - they really are lovely lenses.

Looking for £250 including insured postage within the UK.
