You're not in the EU any more, GDPR doesn't apply. Even if it did, requesting a phone number is not against it if it's for a legitimate purpose and they handle and store the data correctly.

2FA should work fine with e-mail anyway, which you pretty much need to have if you're buying online.

And I don't see why purchases couldn't be made over the phone.

Still, even in 2022 it should be possible to find camera batteries locally.

I agree with John, taking apart dead batteries, especially Lithium ones, is very unwise. Replacements aren't so expensive compared to the overall operating costs of a film camera these days. One of those batteries should last for quite a few rolls of film.

The only two bits of advice I was ever given about shooting images of kids was 1, Don't & 2. If rule 1 can't be applied, try and shoot from their level, it gives a different perspective.
I have to say I think the first part is very poor advice (yes, I know it's a bit tongue-in-cheek, but it's disappointing that some people may have that opinion). Children aren't hard to photograph, you just have to learn their habits and how to take full advantage of their behaviour and the available light, and the better you know your way around your camera gear the better too.

The second part is rule #1 really.

There's a small book in Spanish which is about photographing kids, we've given it as a gift to a couple of people who were about to become parents. It's really excellent and everything in it is applicable regardless of the camera being used. I can't seem to find it now to see if it's available in English.

Announced over their social media, Kodak are bringing back Gold 200 in 120 format. Looks like it'll be the cheapest colour film in 120, at least of Kodak's offerings. Analogue Wonderland I think have it for pre-order at 45 quid a box of 5.

My A series 28mm f/2.8 lens consistently over-exposes by a stop or a little less. It's the only lens I've ever come across that does that.

Isn't Satobi just another colour profile like "Natural", "Vivid", "Black and white" etc?

That's a very good deal on the Sigma but I don't know if it's really suitable for astrophotography. I have the Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 and it's a very nice lens, faster than the 8-16mm, but I don't know anything about it's qualities specifically for astro.

I suspect that this fix will be a temporary solution until the solenoid fails completely. It reminds me of the "exercising" or warming up of soon-to-fail SDM motors.

I'll take the Minolta lens assuming it's in good condition, all working fine, no fungus etc. If you could add a couple of pictures that'd be great.
All yours. Smooth focus and aperture, it took a bit of searching to find this one but it’s a lovely example.
Sorry, I've changed my mind on the Minolta as I really don't need another Minolta 50mm.
