I've noticed over on the other forum that the K-5IIs is said to show less/no PF when compared with the K-5II.

Anyone with a K-5IIs care to comment?

I'd have thought a new thread would be better, as I don't think 'Want to trade' draws in the buying crowd

Some years ago I was using a Minolta XD7. Great camera, but on holiday my family just couldn't use it; too heavy, manual focus, etc.,

I popped into Jessops in York and after listening to the salesman 'pushing' Canon and Nikon for no other reason than 'They're what everyone buys', I said, 'Ok, who makes's good cameras that no-one buys then?, to which he replied, 'Pentax. Great cameras and lenses, but they're not Nikon or Canon'.

Considering myself to be an individual, (or naively being in the grasp of the world's greatest salesman), I immediately bought a Pentax MX-7 SLR (light, with AF, etc), and a couple of zoom lenses.

Been with Pentax ever since with no regrets.

You may have missed focus

Tongue and nose look pretty sharp

Looks ok

Trouble is they're all low res and don't have intact exif data. I suspect it got stripped out when you down-sized them.

Are the originals on Flickr or similar? If so, could you link to them please?

If you look in the 'Add a Comment' box below, you'll see 'Image'. Click it, and it'll open another window that'll let you link to an image on your computer or a web-site.

BUT, nothwithstanding your previous experience, take a shot of an inanimate, static, object if you want to test the focus accuracy of your lens/camera combo.

I guessed that as I was used to shooting pics of the dog with my k-x, it would have better results with the K5. Maybe im jumping the gun.
Post a few examples of the poor shots with intact exif data. Always helps the experts on here get to the root of a problem

I'm sure I also saw an idea that simply attached an electronic timer to an infra red release, but can't find it. If I do, I'll send you the link.

Take a look here.

Not sure how helpful this is. I suppose it depends on how practical you are?

I'm also sure it's been the subject of ones or more threads in this Forum.
