I reviewed the D FA 28-105mm for ePHOTOzine and also bought one for myself. Both copies performed extremely well, being almost as good as the 24-70mm.

If your is no good David then there must be something wrong with it.

I like the bold colours and the composition of these. Good light, an interesting subject, bold colours and a keen eye to pull it all together.

Excellent monochrome, lots of deep, dark drama.

I know you have asked about a prime lens, but I have found the SMC Pentax-FA 20-35mm f/4 to work very well with the K-1. It is also very compact, whilst still avoiding any significant vignetting.

It's not just about resolution, it's also about fine gradation, noise and the depth of field. These may be subtle effects but they may be important to some photographers. There might be anargument for the K-1 for landscape and portrait and the KP for sports and wildlife. If size of camera and lenses is important, then the KP has it.

I'm not sure it's an either/or because both formats have their own benefits and drawbacks and we might need both depending on what we're shooting at any particular time.

Do you mean the section in the forum or the section in the menus at the top of the screen?

In the forum I tend to use 1000px wide which seems about right and loads quickly.

In the gallery and no doubt in the section for ads any size will do, just not smaller than that 1000px.

I guess that's one reason DSLRs are not waterproof, just water and maybe dust "resistant".
