I bought the same lens, and find it a very competent lens. Produces very sharp photos.

I use Paint Shop Pro 10, and have PS also. But prefer PSP-10. The price for PSP is less than a third of PS.

This was also taken using Pentax ist DS at 18mm F11, 1/250. It consists of 11 shots overlaped by 1/2. Post processed in Paint Shop Pro 10 and resized.

Built in meter and hand held, Paint Shop Pro 10 helped with the histogram equalize function.

Here is a Panorama stitched together using Autostitch. It consists of 9 photos taken with the ist DS at 18mm F5.6 1/125. I am sorry about the size of image, but to get the total effect it needs to run off the screen so panning is necessary.

Here is a Panorama done using my new Zenitar 16mm f2.8 K mount lens. It is a fully manual lens, which took a little time to get accustomed to. The photo consists of 3 photos processed in PSP-10 then stitched with Autostitch.

I was told by www.foto-tip.com that the LCD Hood and Protector will be available on or around 10/10/05. This is a two piece device. The first piece is a optical glass protector that goes over the LCD. The second piece is the sun shade, the protector can be used without the hood, but the hood can not be used without the protector. The hood when not in use can be folded flat against the camera. here are some pictures. Of course this is not what the one for the DS and the D would look like but the operation would be very similar. The item will sell for around $20.00US. I bought one for my Fuji S5100 and am very happy with the quality. As soon as the actual photos are available I will edit this post.

I think I have caught the dreaded Lens buying disease. I want to get a Auto Focus Fish-eye lens. The Zenitar lens from Russia is nice, but not AF. Any ideas out there.

OK, I must have read into the question wrong.
