Darkmunk i updated both after the first pictures i did think the camera firmware improved but was still not right, the 44 i tried tonight worked spot on every shot so i am going to get one to use and just carry the 560 for when i need more power, the 58 i will just keep it with the k30 as backups. Well my friends just been up and brought his k5 II and metz 44 af1, i have just tried his 44 and it runs perfect on mine in pttl every shot spot on, the 58 is a little hit and miss on his mk2 so is the problem mainly with the metz 58 flash, might just grab a 44 and use my 560 when i need the extra power. andrew. Please note full stops and capitals lol.

well been playing with mine all afternoon very mixed outcome i can control it better running P on camer a and A or M on flash at that outcome i might as well just go back to using my 560.

Hi the secondary reflector is firing on mine i have just updated the flash to latest firmware its still same needs the flash compensation turned down a little, i use the camera in av mode have just tried turning the flash onto a looks ok but starts to under expose the further the object is away a little to soon thats not to much bother i can play with that over i cant, ps darkmunk some nice shots on your site.

Hi fletcher i did use a yn56 before this in manual i just went to the metz for ease every shot with the metz was there about perfect on the k30 just put on the k5 and every shot was bad i did dial in -2.0 on the flash comp and the pics was still slighty burning out i have just updated firmware on the k5 as it was v101 i think and that has improved it unless i have caught something and now changed flash comp to -0.3 and looks ok will have a play with that for a couple of days, i did read before getting the k5 it had slight issues with flash.

Hi i have moved from a k30 to a k5 i use a metz 58-af1 flash now on the k30 no probs i have connected onto the k5 taken a dozen shots and everyone is well over exposed and burnt out any ideas do i need to change setting.

Great stuff thanks for help guys its only a 3 rd party thought i best try 1st see if i like before shelling £200 odd quid on an genuine one.
