Yes I have four Energizer lithium batteries that live in the camera bag with my K100d.With a bit of masking tape wrapped around them to keep em together and stop them shorting out. I use Eneloops all the time but just once in a while the back ups come in handyI've had them for more than 2 years now and if I put them in the camera they register full charge. .... and the date on them is 03-2023! I bet the camera will be dead by then.... jeff ...

Thanks guys as I said in my post it's TAKUMAR and the locking pin on the camera is outside the lens barrel due the small diameter ... so there seems to be no way of securing the lens on the camera if I remove the spring clip... I'll take it of and see how tight the adapter is without it before I go down the loctite route. If it works I'll have to buy more adapters for me other old screw lenses.... Jeff... ( slowtour I hope this helps you )

Yes Mike like this .But the lens locking button dont help because the lens is narrow barrelled job the contacts the auto focus screw drive and the locking pin are all outside the diameter of the lens ,so if I remove this spring thing the lens is only held on by friction ,thoughts anyone ...jeff...

Yes I know what you mean ,I have a TAKUMAR 1:3.5/135 and a pentax adapter, it can be tricky to take the adapter off the camera,I wonder if one could use a litle squirt of loctite on the thread and remove the spring clip from adapter so I have" fixed "the adapter to the lens and use it like a regular k mount anyone tried this ? I cant see any reason why it wont work the Tacumar is a great lens to use and I'd use it more if it was'nt a faff . jeff...
