I like the look of LED street and household lights it has a clean colour rich feel that I like , I am confused by the low efficiency thing in Andrews post . I have used PETZL head torches for years I've had three or four (or more) of them over the last 20 years My latest one has one tiny LED bulb running on 3 AA rechargeables, the light from it is so bright on the brightest setting( there is three) that you can not look at it and it stays that bright for weeks of use then it just stops when the batteries need changing after flashing a bit , The life of the batteries in this torch far exceeds any other I've had ... so LED must be more energy efficient ... or have I missed something ...jeff

Philstaff , I have a K100d. Are your batteries in good nick , What type are you using, is the battery compartment door closing properly, are the contacts in the K100d clean ? the only odd thing I have noticed about my indicator is when I am moving photos from the Camera to the Laptop the battery level always says half power and as soon as the photos are transfered the level goes back up to full charge . I hope this helps ...jeff... nice dog by the way... ..

Well done HG, much the same here I've cleared out the stove but not rekindled it , it's not cold in the day time yet .
The movie was a success ,we are having a Michael Caine season, so far we have had The Ipcress File,
both versions of Sleuth, and last night... Funeral in Berlin.
oh and the small jug of this years new wine was a hit ...jeff...

I know what you mean, I hardly drink beer these days, I only buy it if we have guests that don't drink wine, this year we have both red and white a barrel of each... jeff... so what Dutch beers should we look out for ?
