Yes I agree john , but I had a very similar conversation with the owner of the shop G L Robertson's in Lancaster last year , this guy has sold Pentax kit for years, I have bought two Pentax cameras and half a dozen lenses from him in the years I lived in Lancaster .
I went in his shop on a trip back to the UK and was very suprised that he no longer stocked Pentax ...jeff...

All this talk of Lancaster , I lived and worked in Lancaster for 15 years before we moved to Crete, had some great times there. One place The Gregson know locally as the Greggy is a Bar , cafe , music venue, cinema,and meeting place that I highly recommend, good beer ,good food and a great atmosphere.
It's in Moor lane up the hill from The Dukes theatre another great place, where I used to and some times still do work ..... Oh did I say the beers good ...jeff..

Here's a thing , yesterday I went to connect my K100 to the lap top.
USB in the lap top - the funny little plug on the other end in to the camera.....heh what's this? the plug is loose in the camera and when I look into the socket it don't seem to have any internal components... Drat it !!
So what to do? I found a card reader in the back of a drawer so I can still put photos on the lap top.
Any one had this happen , is it worth trying to fix it ? have the bits dropped out or dropped in? what is more likely? I think that getting it fixed professionally will cost more than the camera is worth so I guess it's DIY or put up with it ... thoughs...jeff...

I like your photo Aura and I share your dislike of modern doors and windows I was having coffee with a friend of mine in the village the other day and we got on to this very subject. I was telling him how I had made all the windows in my house with wood because I prefer the look and the feel of wooden window frames in an old house..... He said (in Greek)" oh I am gonna replace this window with a plastic one, you don't have to paint them you know". His wife shouted through from the kitchen...." the last time you painted a window frame in this house was 45 years ago"..... and do you know all the window frames in his house are fine ..... jeff....

I had a that happen to a system when I lived in the UK boiler, pressure dropping for no reason it was the pressure relief valve needed replacing, a half hour job. Once I'd worked out what it was that took a day of experiment topping it up and watching the gauges and stuff, so don't rip up any floors yet....jeff....
