Mostly the colour versions are looking better here. I think strong expressive colours like fire look real and striking in colour. Must admit, the themes are emotional.

Hi, I can talk about the ones I have. SMC PENTAX-DA 50-200mm f4-5.6 ED WR and Pentax 28-105mm f4-5.6 (older version). I found these two really good/sharp. I also have the 18-55 WR which is good but not of the same standard as the two mentioned above.

Hi, First and the last really good for me. I feel you could have extracted more mileage from the K-5 with better selection of subjects and angles/composition.

Hi, 18-135 covers decent wide angle and not so bad telephoto. I have a 50-200 WR Pentax and its really great have a decent range. The WR feature adds to the value. Same applied for 18-135 too.

Great thoughts Gwyn. Really appreciate. Well I would love to click a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi in B/W in a thoughtful mood when he was old....regards, jeeess

Welcome to the forum. As Japers has mentioned, you have a nice kit. I envy you for the reason that you are retired. I have a few more years to go and presently not in a financially sound position to retire. Have lovely photograpy years and you will have lots of advice from this forum which is filled with great experts in the field.

ENJOY
