Great pics Duc. I think a lil bit of crop in the pics would give better effect and fill the frame with the subject you want to highlight.

Hi Rob,

If you have a WR camera, it is sensible that you have at least one WR lens in your line up. I have a 18-55 WR and an 50-200 WR. Performance-wise both are good, 50-200 being the better among the two. These two are cheaper too when compared to other WR lenses. So why not start with either of these? Good luck.

Even the camera angle...
And now how is camera angle a lie....I think the camera angle would be the angle that the photographer first visualizes and then makes the camera catch that angle. That angle of view exists and its true and real. Also agree with what Pentaxophile mentions....three points out of four....The last one - special effects like fisheye lenses....too looks unnatural to me.

Good effect Don. This is what I was saying. This angle of view existed, the photographer saw it and made the camera click it. John Riley is right when he says the camera does not lie but the photographer does. But what you see is not the truth. Its special effect. I feel highlighting a flower by blurring the background and this effect are not the same. That's my view.

I personally think that a good picture is like a naturally beautiful girl/lady, with good features, whose beauty can be enhanced with a bit of external refinements. Anything not beautiful cannot be made beautiful. If you manage that, it is bound to be unnatural. Using PS to totally change the picture you originally shot is something I don't consider as an art. Maybe for this reason I am not for HDR. If you can create something with your imagination from nothing, that's something different.
