every charity shop must carry at least 3 Helios 44's
Thanks Hefty, never thought to check out the charity shops - might give the local ones a hit this weekend, see if I can find anything.

Does it say on the 135mm Helios f/2.8 where it was made? I thought they were just re-badged Japanese cheapies? and nothing special.

The 135mm Jupiters f/3.5 and f/4 are superb and worth buying at about £25
Actually, I mis-typed the 135mm as Helios (doh!) it is actually a Tair 11A 135mm f/2.8 model K1915.

It needed a good clean as it was in the bottom of a box of rusty tools on a car boot a few weeks ago.

I recently got hold of a 135mm Helios f/2.8 and really like the results but want to try some different focal lengths - so if anyone has any old Russian lenses they want to part with, preferably in a PK Bayonet mount but M42 is also fine let me know.

Specifically interested in:
Helios 44k-4 58mm f/2
Jupiter-9 85mm f/2

Also after Pentacon Six lenses maybe in particular a Lomo Vega 12B 90mm?

Thanks All!

The error message you are getting is an indication that Photoshop CS3 has not been launched before? Is Photoshop working correctly?

Can you open a single shot in Camera Raw?

I've been using Bridge as part of my work-flow since CS2, although always on a Mac - what OS are you using Vic?

To open all the photos in a folder, I usually use keyboard shortcuts, so I would browse to the folder in Bridge, "Cmd+A" to select all ("Ctrl+A" on PC) then "Cmd+R" ("Ctrl+R") which opens the selection in Camera Raw; make my adjustments then, "Select All" > "Save Images..." then specify my save options in the window that pops up.

If your using OSX, the built in Preview.app can batch convert images; and on PC, Irfanview with the plugins pack will allow batch conversion from DNG.

There is no dust on the sensor, and the I'll give the inside a blowout with an air blower - as when changing lenses, sometimes dust gets on the mirror.

The flash has just picked up every particle of dust on the body in the images! I've never been any good at product shots!

If you have Photoshop then I'll assume you have Adobe's handy Bridge utility - open Bridge, browse to the folder of DNG's, Select All then right click and choose the "Open in Camera Raw" option.

This will open all the photos as thumbnails down the left hand side, you can multi-select and do batch adjustments and also click the "Save as..." button and choose to save them as various file formats (including) JPG, and you can also change the name of the files, or append extra text to the filenames.

I use this feature of Camera Raw to batch convert all my big GX20 DNG's into compressed Adobe DNG's that take up half the disk space.

Hope that all makes sense!

Brian.
