...did that road in '84 on the Beema. Mrs HG on the back, water in everything and a sign at the top of the pass saying 'Don't feed the sheep'
We hadn't even considered it until then!
Good waterproofs are an esential in Norway, if you have them it won't rain, if you haven't it will!
As an aside, we met 2 Swedish guys on the ferry back from Gothenberg, and we're still drinking with them now.

Small amounts of grease are used in various parts of the lens body, these tend to find there way through to the blades.
It isn't a problem on Rangefinder lenses, but on a SLR lens it slows the action down causing over exposure.
The oil can be cleaned of by brave /competent tinkerers.
As for SLR cameras, I tend to avoid any fully electric bodies if they don't have working batteries installed.

Problem is that street shooting can get confrontational and asking somebody for a couple of shots can get dodgy.
It's much easier at organised events such a sWhitby.
But I always ask first and respect others views.

.....do you know how many tablet things I've seen being used instead of cameras?
While that's happening the quality of images will deteriarate to a point where the choices of quality on tablets will equal poor, bad and what the???
On the plus side, sunny and hot in Carcassonne this morning...
